2 Chronicles 22:1-9
- Ahaziah became Judah's next king, mosly by default, since all of his
older brothers were killed. (v. 1)
- Ahaziah did evil and his mother encouraged him. (v. 3-4)
- Ahaziah made an alliance with the northern kingdom, but it led to
disaster. (v. 5-7)
- Ahaziah was killed. He was given a decent burial (see 2 Kings 9:28)
because he was a grandson of Jehoshaphat. (v. 8-9)
- Ahaziah left no sons old enough to be king.
- "The dynasty is at it's loewst ebb. And the stage is set for the entry
of a monster."
